World Cup overall victory for Russia and Great Britain
The MTBO competitions in the Erzgebirge also marked the end of the 2019 World Cup season. After a total of 8 races, the overall women's victory went to Great Britain. In the men's and the team classification Russia won.
At the beginning of the World Cup season a sprint distance and a long distance were held in Wroclaw / Poland. At the World Championships in Viborg, Denmark, individual races over the sprint distance, middle distance and long distance were on the programme. For the World Cup of the teams the relay races of women and men counted.
In the Erzgebirge, the individual races over the sprint distance, long distance and the mixed relay races were then scored in the World Cup finals.
Emily Benham Kvale (Great Britain) had 6 starts with 6 victories and won the overall ranking ahead of Veronika Kubinova (Czech Republic) and Nadia Larsson (Sweden).
Anton Foliforov won in the men's ranking ahead of Grigory Medvedev (both Russia) and Krystof Bogar (Czech Republic).
The World Cup ranking of the teams was won by Russia ahead of the Czech Republic and Finland.
The German team finished 18th in this ranking. Anke Dannowski (ESV Dresden) achieved the best German result with 35th place in the overall World Cup.
